L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

I purchased this product from Wal-Mart after seeing and reading some reviews about it. My first thought when I saw what the wand looked like was that it was a rip off of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I have tried this mascara as well and loved it. I was hopeful that this would be a great, more affordable option. This product was really hyped up on my Instagram and I was excited to try it! However, my expectations fell flat. Don’t get me wrong – this is a great mascara. I was just hoping that this would be the BEST mascara. It was not. Just plain on my lashes (as seen in photo below) it does colour my blonde lashes well and adds a lot of length.
Where it fell flat for me was the volume building. I have owned the regular Voluminous Lash mascara before and the formula is very similar, but I do like the shape of this wand better.
I have been using it for about a week now and my favourite way to apply it is layered over my Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara. This mascara is very good at building volume but the formula is a bit dry to completely coat the tips well. I have been applying this first and then layering the Lash Paradise over top to get the length the other mascara lacks.
Overall I am happy with this purchase and will likely be replacing my normal Voluminous Lash with this product! It works well, doesn’t flake or smudge, and looks great!
