This has been the best replacement for my original Pantene favourite that was discontinued (check out that sad story here).
It works for me for the most part. It absorbs oil fairly well (7/10) so I feel confident wearing my hair down on day two and not feeling like a grease ball. You get a decent amount of product for the cost and it lasts me usually a month or two. It doesn’t feel too heavy on my scalp and I can still run my fingers through my hair which I like.
However, the scent is really overpowering for me. It’s supposed to be refreshing I think but it’s not my favourite Dove smell and it’s strong. In addition to the scent, the product leaves a white cast on my almost white, blonde hair which isn’t good news for anyone with darker hair.
This is the most affordable option I have found that will do the trick for my hair. It’s not my favourite, but will have to do for now as I continue my search!
