Thoughts:
I have been using this foundation for a few months now. I just want to start by saying that I am not one to wear foundation every single day. Most days I will just put a bit of concealer under the eyes and powder all over and be done with my face. I was intrigued to see what this would be like and how it would look on my skin.
The first shade that I purchased was ivory. You can see in the photo above the very orange toned one is the ivory shade. I used it several times before I decided that the colour was just way too orange toned for my skin. Once I picked up the proper porcelain colour (which is still a bit dark for my winter skin), I am a fan and will definitely be repurchasing this product.
My favourite thing about this product is how quickly I can apply it. I don’t use the weird little pad that they tell you to use and then blend out. I take my beauty blender (or you could use a brush if that’s your preferred method of foundation application) and bounce it in the foundation two or three times and then spread it around my face and bam I’m done in less than a minute. It’s light-medium coverage depending on how much you put on your sponge.
It blends out easily and feels like a moisturizer on your skin. It sets nicely and stays put the whole day. It doesn’t dry matte, it’s a natural “luminous” finish that you can make matte if you apply powder on top (see this look in the photo below). If you are looking for a matte foundation with no shine, this is not the one for you. It does feel like a moisturizer which took a bit for me to get used to as it is almost greasy feeling when you first apply it.
My only complaint is that the shade selections all tend to be a bit on the orangey side and there isn’t one that is quite light enough to match my skin well. That being said I still love this product because it is easy and quick to apply, feels nice on my skin, and looks nice! I will be repurchasing this soon when I run out.
Have you tried a cushion foundation? What do you think about this product compared to others?
