Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil

Cost: $32 from Sephora

Shade: 01 Light, platinum to light blonde

I really like this product! It really does what it says – goof proof brows. I have very fair blonde hair and my natural brows are faint and hard to see in some lights. I have always been a bit self-conscious about my brows and have been filling them in for years. If they aren’t on dark enough in photos it looks like I have no brows and makes my large forehead look even larger (LOL).

I have struggled to find a shade that’s light enough for me but doesn’t turn out making my eyebrows look orange-toned. This is one of my favourite eyebrow pencils. It has an angled tip, which allows me to do smaller hair like strokes, but I can also angle it to fill in the front of my brows and quickly. I really like the application and the spoolie on the end to brush out my brows after to blend.

My only two complaints are that it shows a bit more orange-toned on my face than I prefer, but not enough for me to stop using it. Second, I don’t like that the ends of the product aren’t labeled. On one end is the actual product and the other is the spoolie brush, so it is always a gamble for me. I would say about 50% of the time I open the wrong end first. I could solve this problem easily by looking at what end the writing faces or paint some nail polish or something, but I just feel like I shouldn’t have to do that for $32! Right?

All that said I still like the product. I know there are a few other brands that make similar style pencils so I might check out their colour ranges, but I will definitely be repurchasing this one when it’s empty.

Have you tried a brow product like this before? What did you think?
