Boscia Tsubaki Oil Deep Hydration Hydrogel Mask
Cost: $11 CAD from Sephora
I have wanted to try this style of mask for a long time! I finally found a few at Sephora that weren’t too outrageously priced and so far I have been liking them. This is a hydrogel mask that comes in two pieces, one that covers the forehead and cheeks and another that covers the bottom of the cheeks and chin. All of the hydrogel masks I have tried tend to come in this split style which I like because I feel like I can fit it to my face a bit better. However, I found that if I am moving around while wearing it they tend to slip and slide around more than a full cotton face mask does on me. It’s a bit different because the mask itself is not a fabric like the cotton and microfiber masks I have reviewed in the past, but more like a gelly consistency. This could also contribute to the moving around because it is slightly heavier.
I really like them because they feel luxurious, however I am not sure that I notice a huge difference in the way that it hydrates my skin. This particular mask had a nice smell and made my face feel nice. However, I am not sure I will repurchase this often because I don’t think it did anything special for my face but it has a higher price tag. I prefer the cotton or microfiber sheet masks!
Have you ever tried a hydrogel sheet mask? What did you think?
