too cool for school Egg Cream Mask [Hydration]
Cost: $8.00 CAD per mask from Sephora
Thoughts:
I bought this earlier in January 2017 from Sephora. and let me just say I am OBSESSED with facemasks. I have been into them for almost 2 years now since I got a sample when I worked at Shoppers Drug Mart. My favourite and most used kinds are for hydration, so I thought I would do my first facemask review on a new one I haven’t tried before!
This brand makes egg cream masks which I always thought sounded a bit strange so I hesitated in buying one for a while, but I wish I had tried them sooner! It has a light pleasant coconut and floral fragrance, which I really liked but it was a bit strong so beware if you have a sensitive nose. Also, I was worried that this would smell like eggs but I couldn’t smell egg at all.
However, when I pulled it out of the package I was a bit grossed out by the consistency at first. You know when you crack an egg and put it into the pan or bowl or wherever and the clear egg white drips from the shell? That’s what the product on this mask is like. Sounds disgusting and feels worse. But! I actually really liked this mask! I think because the consistency of the product was a bit thicker than other masks I have tried it stayed stuck to my face for the full 20 minutes really well and it didn’t dry out too much.
After I pulled off the mask I rubbed in the product. It dried a bit tight on my skin initially, but after about 10 minutes it felt normal. It did leave my skin feeling sticky so I would recommend using this one before bed or when you don’t need to go anywhere.
The rest of the day and the next day my skin felt very soft and hydrated. I will definitely be purchasing this mask again! The mask itself was really soft and felt nice on my skin and I loved the scent. It is also a bit cheaper than some of the other masks I will be reviewing soon, but I feel like this one stuck to my face so much better than other masks I have tried.
